Movie Theater Projects
Having installed all the stage ends for Famous Players since 1998, it is no wonder that we are simply known as The Screen Guys ™. Our products are viewed by millions of movie goers across Canada each year and we are proud to have been a part of the projects for one of the world’s most successful exhibitors known for the quality of their presentation.
With their buy-out of famous Players in 2005 Cineplex is now Canada’s largest exhibitor with over 75% of the market share. AMZ Design and Installation has installed the stage ends for all their projects in the past few years including Aurora, ST. Thomas, Guelph, Saskatoon, Brockville, Brossard, Milton, Oshawa, and several other cities. AMZ has been their single source of supply for screens and stage ends since 2005. With the upcoming projects in 2007 the future of movies has never been brighter in Canada.
One of the most successful exhibitor’s in Eastern Europe, Hollywood Multiplex retained the services of AMZ for turn-key installation in Hungary, Romania and Croatia. The installation in Kecskemet provides the best presentation in the region and we are proud to have been associated with their success.
Lithuanian box office led all of Europe in 2006 by an increase of 95% largely thanks to the addition of our turn-key installations in Kaunas and Klaipeda for Cinamon. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment as AMZ has been involved since the inception of this start-up exhibitor. From writing their building specs, to hiring the architects to supplying and installing the equipment, AMZ time and time again has come through with turn-key solutions for their clients.
With donations from alumni and funding of the government of Ontario, Toronto’s York University embarked on a $110 million arts school building know as Accolade. To no one’s surprise AMZ was hired for the supply and installation of the stage end in the 500 seat cinema/lecture hall. We were later asked to provide our expertise for the implementation of the digital sound system to complement the 2k DLP projection in this building. At a recent gathering of Audio Engineers Society (AES) in the cinema, the sound presentation received rave reviews as having one of the clearest and best laid out sound system in the country. We are pleased to have been associated with York University’s school of fine arts for upgrades to the Nat Taylor screening room as well as all their other presentation related projects.
